Pastor Todd leaves for U.S. Navy Annual Training (AT) this week. His current assignment is to the 23d Regiment of the 4th Marine Division, headquartered in San Bruno, CA. Their training mission this year is UNITAS (Latin for “UNITED”), the oldest and largest maritime exercise in the Southern Command region. It began in 1959 as a South American and U.S. regional exercise designed to demonstrate a united stance against the spread of the Soviet Union’s influence and presence in Latin America. The exercise continues to be the most important naval exercise in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility promoting partnership and demonstrating U.S. importance and commitment to the region.
We look forward to Pastor Todd's return for worship on July 30.
